Yes, Ice Addiction is back, and diving straight in with comments on Russian Nationals - most specifically Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov, who had such a great debut at Russian Nationals it was absolutely a case of "Maria who?" - Maxim's last unhappy skating union is well and truly over! I felt Volosozhar's skating ability was on a par with Aliona Savchenko but she never the partner to show this of, but as their trouncing of Yuko Kavaguti and Alexander Smirnov (214.66 to 201.44 as final scores) at Nationals shows, there is going to be a very interesting showdown for the pairs medals in Europeans in a few short weeks.
